K-Pop's Role in DreamGirl Magazine

Though there are various facets of the entertainment industry that are hyper-stylized for the sake of maintaining notoriety. I find the K-Pop industry to be a part of that region of the entertainment industry but the way that individual music groups are stylized is particularly interesting. I take inspiration from their focus on niche aesthetics, as every record label clamors to create something unique for each of their groups.

K-Pop has a tendency to rebrand, or "comeback" multiple times a year, which entails the release of new music and a product line-up to come with it. There is often a stark change in the group's personal and performance style as well as in the music genre the group produces and even their music videos' cinematography. However, it is not the constant changes that are of great interest to me, rather the clarity of their aesthetics.

For DreamGirl Magazine, I want to maintain the cohesiveness of K-Pop releases in that the magazine exemplifies a variety of my writing, photography, and graphic design skills. The aesthetics mentioned in my previous blog "Audience in Relation to Media" through the photos from Paloma Wool and Vivienne Westwood have further permeated into my magazine and I now have a more complete mental image I want DreamGirl to represent.
